Our Approach to Treatment

Trigger finger occurs when the tendon sheath around the affected finger becomes inflamed or thickened, making it difficult for the tendon to glide smoothly. Common symptoms of trigger finger include stiffness in the finger, a popping or clicking sensation when moving the finger, pain or tenderness at the base of the affected finger, and a locked or stuck finger.

At Sound Hand and Orthopedics we seek to understand the specific impact your condition has on your life and use this as the guiding principle in determining your most effective treatment. The first step in this process is listening. The second is patient education so that you understand your problem as well as your options. Both nonoperative and operative strategies may be available. Together, we can determine what will work best for you.

Early treatment can prevent worsening symptoms, so it’s best to address symptoms as soon as they appear. If you are suffering from trigger finger, schedule an appointment with Sound Hand and Orthopedics today.

“Dr. Goel is fabulous. He listens with compassion and explains things clearly. He is also very patient with those of us who are weary of surgery. I highly recommend!!”
