Sound Hand and Orthopedics offers specialized care for hand, wrist, and elbow issues, focused on restoring function and mobility and relieving pain.
Gamekeeper's Thumb
Gamekeeper’s thumb is an injury to the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in the thumb, typically caused by a forceful blow or repetitive stress to the base of the thumb. Symptoms include pain, swelling, and difficulty with gripping or pinching. If untreated, it can lead to chronic instability or weakness in the thumb.
Distal Radius Fractures
A distal radius fracture is a break in the radius bone near the wrist. It’s one of the most common types of fractures, especially in older adults and those with osteoporosis. Treatment varies depending on the severity of the fracture.
Wrist/Hand Fractures
Treatment of wrist and hand fractures depends on the type and location of the fracture and may involve casting, splinting, or surgical intervention if the bones are misaligned. Early diagnosis and proper treatment are important for ensuring proper healing and restoring full function to the hand or wrist.
“Dr. Goel is fabulous. He listens with compassion and explains things clearly. He is also very patient with those of us who are weary of surgery. I highly recommend!!”

Our Approach to Treatment
At Sound Hand and Orthopedics we seek to understand the specific impact your condition has on your life and use this as the guiding principle in determining your most effective treatment. The first step in this process is listening. The second is patient education so that you understand your problem as well as your options. Both nonoperative and operative strategies may be available. Together, we can determine what will work best for you.
Scheduling An Appointment
When you schedule an appointment, you need to fill out a new patient packet. This will include both the administrative paperwork and a section to describe your health history and the problem you are experiencing. You can download it below.
